CHALLENGE
Cardoen launched a new campaign titled “A car for everyone”, to emphasize that it has an enormous multi-brand catalogue, in both new and second hand cars, in all price ranges. If you recently welcomed a dog in your family and you need a car with a bigger booth, or you need a higher vehicle because your mobility was recently reduced, everyone should find the perfect fit at Cardoen. In the video commercial, Cardoen featured a real life stiry.
A young lady that recently lost her foot in a severe accident, contacted Cardoen for sponsoring, and became the lead actor in the new tv commercial. She was offered a car with automatic gears, as she couldn’t shift-gears with her foot anymore.
WHAT WE DID
We advised Cardoen on how to approach communication around this sensitive but precious topic. Together with the client, we checked with the young lady if she was comfortable being exposed to media, drafted a Q&A and a small media training and approached some specialists to quotein the communication. We also set up some interviews with local media, with the explicit demand her sponsor would be mentioned in the article.
